Hello, Real World.
As my usual line goes, I haven't been blogging for quite some time! Almost a month and a lot has happened. I mean, a lot has been happening and I just haven't been blogging about it. I'm more active in FB! Don't worry Tabbie, I haven't abandoned you, I'm just loving the attention. Heh.
I graduated 3 weeks ago and now, hours from now, I'll be getting my NBI clearance for my pre-employment requirements. Also, a Physical Exam, SSS and TIN. Smells like the world of productive and legit members of the society!
YES THAT'S RIGHT. Me, the same high school junior who was pondering what road she's going to take in college 6 years ago is now talking about employment. That's how old we are, Tabbie. From petty rants about prom dresses, now we're diving into the more serious stuff. I will be starting on a job soon. I applied for it as my adviser and I are still fixing my undergraduate thesis and next thing I know, I'm having my picture taken with the Oblation. Oh, time. You sneaky thing. Hahaha!
Long story short, after 3 interviews, 2 styling tests, a written exam and submitting a sample of my written works, I'm hired! :D
My happiness is a double-edged sword though. I can't express the real depth of my gratitude and excitement knowing some of my close friends who have also graduated recently are still looking for jobs. I mean, how can you be fully happy when some gets a little jaded with the whole job hunt thing. Hang in there, guys! Patience and prayers are best.
I will still have to take the board exams though and I know it's going to be tough juggling work and review but I don't know. I'm not being cocky but I think I can manage without the review classes most of my blockmates will be taking. I just need extreme determinaton and focus (hello UPCAT review sessions part 2!) to be able to pull this off. Also, leeching powers for review materials. Hahaha! It can be done. *crosses fingers and gameface on look*
THANK YOU, LORD. My heart is full. You have given me so much and for that I will do my best. Parents and friends. Expect a libre soon. Once I'm done with the nitty-gritty of pre-employment, let's toast to the best that is yet to come.
(I really love this line, don't I? Hehe. ) As a product of the State University, here's to serving the people! :'D
